Manon Gabard‘s gown for Emmy winner Gina Rodriguez was a dazzling, vibrant blue made from 100% GOTS certified organic peace silk and dyed with low impact GOTS dye.  Her look was finished off with vintage Neil lane jewels, an Edie Parker clutch and shoes from Jimmy Choo. Here are some of her words about her RCGD Global experience…

I have graduated ESMOD in Haute Couture section in June. Since last summer, I have been working in freelance. Recently, I designed some bags and sustainable silk dresses for a Parisian showroom –  ASCHMEDAÏ – it was a really successful partnership.

Then, I was assistant stylist for GEORGES RECH / APOSTROPHE, famous french brand, where I met a lot of people and learned another way to do fashion, ready to wear, which include a faster production process and another way to design products and patterns, more with head, less with heart.

I am actually searching for inspiration and opportunities abroad. I want to leave my lovely Paris for a short while. L.A. and obviously RCGD gave me international ambitions, so I am going to explore Shanghaï and Australia soon and for a few months. I am so thankful and wistful for the love and support of Suzy and Samata. They helped me to believe in my talent and opened my mind about sustainable fashion.
